In December, Jeeyoon Kim, UPC’s former music director, released the album “10 More Minutes.” Over the past two years she’s become more and more in demand as a concert pianist. This latest album has met with critical acclaim, sold out CD Release concerts in San Diego and San Francisco, and resulted in a national “10 More Minutes” tour.
The Worship Team hosts a benefit each Spring for the UPC Special Music Program. By special arrangement, our 2017 Spring Benefit is a part of the exceptional “10 More Minutes” national tour!
The Worship Team believes that music enhances the worship experience. UPC addresses this via the Chancel Choir, recently upgraded acoustics, wonderful piano and organ, and Music Director Dr. Sarah Stamey. Created to expand upon this, the UPC Special Music Program presents live solo and duet instrumental and vocal performances as well as performance in tandem with the choir. At the same time, the program assists musicians with stipends for their performances. This is accomplished without affecting the UPC general budget because of fund raisers hosted by the Worship Team.
