Community Kitchen http://www.monroecommunitykitchen.com
We participate in Souper Bowl of Caring ( http://www.souperbowl.org/) every year on Super Bowl Sunday. Traditionally, the money is collected by the young people and it is donated to the Community Kitchen of Monroe County.
Hoosier Hills Food Bank https://www.hhfoodbank.org/

Monroe County United Ministries(MCUM) http://www.mcum.org/

Blessing Box We have a box facing Eastside that allows for giving and receiving of food. If you have extra food, please drop it off; if you are in need, please come by and take what you need!
World Concerns
The Nyaka AIDS Orphans Project in Uganda http://www.nyakaschool.org/
UPC has supported Nyaka since its beginning. The benefit for the Nyaka Aids Orphans’ School is every November and in support of that benefit, UPC will have a special collection. The school, begun by Jackson Kaguri and Beronda Montgomery, provides free tuition, books, uniforms, health education, sports and recreation, community gardens, access to fresh water, and has a special children’s choir.
UPC is the center of Indiana Friends of Nyaka and members at UPC volunteer actively.
Eye Clinic in Honduras http://www.hiseyeshonduras.blogspot.com/
Valerie and Trevor Colby do a variety of mission work there, and have a focus (no pun intended) on eye care, as well as other health issues.
