The Youth Group of the 184 year old United Presbyterian Church is conducting a rummage sale on Saturday, August 26 from 8 a.m. to Noon. The event takes place in the church’s Fellowship Hall at 1701 East Second Street in Bloomington.
The funds raised will be used for Vacation Bible School and stays at Camp Pyoca next summer. Funds raised will also help underwrite expenses for an annual youth mission trip to Buckhorn, Kentucky where UPC children and teens assist families in need with everything from clothing and food donations to household repairs and maintenance of grounds.
The youth have gathered housewares, home décor, furniture, toys, games, crafts, sports items, tools, books, holiday decorations, movies, kitchen utensils, art & craft supplies and fashion accessories. Items may be purchased with cash or Visa, MasterCard and Discover cards. The church may be reached at 812-332-1850.
